Etsy Project Embrace

>> Saturday, May 22, 2010

For those of you who don't know, I am part of an amazing team on Etsy. Filled with supportive and genuinely caring people, Etsy Project Embrace was started when Laura Slocum, a fellow Etsian, was diagnosed with stage three ovarian cancer almost a year ago (I'm happy to report that today she is cancer free and currently doing maintenance chemo). Her Etsy buddies got together and formed this fabulous group which has now swelled to a huge community of artists with a common purpose: to support those diagnosed with and affected by cancer. Each of the members donates a portion of some or all of their sales to the American Cancer Society. To date we have raised over $10,000 dollars!
To help our cause, include "teamepe" in your next Etsy search. Sales from all of the items that show up will result in a donation to the American Cancer Society. As of this minute there are nearly 4,300 items that pop up! Get shopping!!!
